The annual St George's Day celebrations will be held in Pinner High Street on Sunday 23rd April 2017 from 12 noon. The High Street will be closed to traffic for the day and transformed into a family friendly venue for celebrating the patron saint of England, St George.
The famous Wheelbarrow Race, a unique Pinner event, takes place at 3pm, a sight not to be missed.
There will be entertainment for everyone; singer Gemma Turner, Punch and Judy, a petting farm, folk dancing, face painting, balloon modelling, children's rides and food stalls. The Queens Head will be holding a beer festival.
At 1pm the Mayor of Harrow will lead the parade of District Scouts to the War Memorial where the Scouts will renew their Promise in the presence of the District Commissioner and the Chairman of the Royal Society of St George.
The celebration is organized by the Rotary Club of Pinner and sponsored by Gibbs Gillespie Estate Agents.
